| Do you wash your tennis shoes? | | I do from time to time wash mine. As they do get dingy and in the summer I tend to omit the socks from my feet and one doesn't need them to get stinky or grow too much bacteria in there from going barefooted in them.
I'm thinking I'm going to have to snag all the kids shoes pretty soon and do a load of them & take a scrub brush to a couple of them. And especially the Hello Kitty shoes my middle wears those will look pretty much new again. | |

| How long before you wear out a pair of tennis shoes? | | My hubby can make a pair last a bit over a year. Depending on the brand I buy I can make a pair last about 1/2 that time. What about you? I was amazed. My mother had a pair that was almost a decade old. And in pretty good shape. She just didn't wear them every day, obviously. | |

What do you call them? | | Another discussion got me thinking about how different things are called by different names throughout the country and Canada. Grocery bags here in NJ are called sacks in Utah (and I'm guessing in the South, too - they share a lot of terminologies). Which do you call them and where?How about sneaks? We call them sneaks or sneakers in NJ, but when I moved to Utah, they didn't know what I was talking about when I went to buy some. I suggested that maybe they were more familiar with "tennie runners" and BINGO - I got my sneaks!! So, how about these? What's YOUR terminology? (Of course, newer terms are in play, too - running shoes, walking shoes, etc - all variations of the traditional sneaker.) | |

We have this debate in our house often as to if there is a rule on wearing socks with tennis shoes. So what about you do you have to wear socks with your tennis shoes? | |

I think that every time I get tennis shoes 99% of the time, they are white and maybe have some color on the trim, but not much. Do you always buy the same color tennis shoe? | | What is the most comfortable brand of tennis shoes? | | I just started a job where I am standing on my feet the whole time and my feet are absoloutly killing me. I am trying to find a comfortable shoe to solve atleast some of this problem. The shoe I am wearing now is by nike and it is not at all working.
