| | Tennis Ball?? | | You don't need to be a master of prestidigitation to figure this one out. All that is required is the power of observation or a little logic: You have observed that if you throw a tennis ball against a wall, it will stop and return to you. Simple. But how would you throw the same ball so it would completely stop, reverse itself and return to you even though it has hit nothing and is connected to nothing?

| | What sport have you been wanting to learn? Do you think you can do it? | | Hi everyone![em]happy[/em]I've been wanting to learn how to play tennis. I love playing badminton snd I think I'm good at it hahaha[em]lol[/em] that's why I like to try tennis too. They're kinda similar it's just that tennis racket is heavier than badminton racket and the running of course is needed to play tennis. Especially when I played wii my desire to learn tennis has become more greater. My mom says I can't do it cause I'm too small to play tennis and I can't swing the racket cause its heavy to carry. Anyways, I'm still going to try it someday. I know I can do it. I believe if you want something and you put your mind to it you can achieve it. But for now I just have to be satisfied playing on wii.[em]happy[/em]How about you guys? Please do share! | |
| | Playing Fetch | | This past weekend it was really beautiful and in the low 60's here in Minnesota. Buster, my loyal beagle loved it outside as I did some gardening work. I found his favorite tennis ball in the yard and we started to play fetch. Now I am trainign him to play this well with me. He does fetch the ball easily. He will drop the ball near me when I state, "Drop It". But I have a problem getting him to sit or lay down and not run when I=tell him to stay. He will if I lightly hold his collar but if I let go he runs like the dickens. I have been trying to get him to stay with this ball playing but to no avail. He does stay when I tell him at other times. But it's only with the ball play he refuses to sit. Does your dog and youreslf play fetch? Does your dog return the toy orare you playing fetch by yourself? Does he stay when you throw the ball if told to?

| | | What Playground Games Do You Remember As A Child? | | Now then, let's see....it's been a while since I was at Primary School (as in 5-11 years old or whatever it was then) but I do remember lots of games we played in our break-times and lunch period. There is hopscotch..see link belowhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HopscotchAlso, Two-Ball...what's that you may be asking. Well, you get two balls of tennis-ball size, find a wall, stand about 5ft away from it, throw the ball from your right hand (palm facing upwards) then slap the ball from your left hand (palm facing downwards) into your right hand, then keep throwing like that in a sequence. I am not explaining myself very well and the game is probably called something else..but it did involve lots of different moves whilst throwing the balls at the same time. Complicated but very entertaining, trust me!Another game was called Elastic. This involved using er..a long piece of elastic between two girls that was stretched as far as possible, there were two strands going each way. The object of the game was to split your legs[em]rofl[/em]in order to get across the elastic...a bit like a variation of High Jump. Over time the elastic would be raised higher until it reached at... | |
