What Others Are Saying About Sports Memorabilia Lot
Anyone out there Collect anything?
What do you collect? I collect autographs sometimes.
oj found guilty
I saw on the news tonight that oj was found guilty of the hold up for that Sports Memorabilia-they say he's facing life. December 5th is his sentencing date what do y'all think will he get a light sentence or is life justice?
Simpson guilty on all charges in robbery trial
O.J. Simpson, who went from American sports idol to celebrity-in-exile after he was acquitted of murder in 1995, was found guilty Friday of robbing two sports-memorabilia dealers at gunpoint in a Las Vegas hotel room. The 61-year-old former football star could spend the rest of his life in prison. Sentencing was set for Dec. 5.Do you think O.J. will get a jail time sentence based on this particular crime or do you think that his previous murder charge (and acquittal) will now influence the amount of jail time he will received?http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081004/ap_on_re_us/oj_simpson
he did it again
LAS VEGAS - Jerry Lewis raised a record $65 million for the Muscular Dystrophy Association in his annual Labor Day telethon, a benefit that also made a pitch for those inconvenienced by Hurricane GustavThis year's 22-hour telethon added a special plea for MDA-registered families forced to leave their homes because of the hurricane, which made landfall Monday in Louisiana. The storm affected nearly 5,000 MDA families needing services in their new location, the organization said.Lewis also urged viewers to contribute to the Salvation Army's emergency disaster services. The 2008 haul for the 43rd annual fundraising blitz was $1.2 million more than last year's total.Lewis said he was prepared not to exceed the 2007 number because of the sluggish economy."Each year I tell myself, 'This has got to be it. There's no way we can do better.' Then, the following year, I'm astounded to see that generosity driven by love and compassion has a greater capacity than I thought possible," Lewis said. "I am awed and humbled by this response."The freewheeling 82-year-old showman co-hosted the telethon from the South Point hotel and casino in Las Vegas. Longtime participant...
Does anyone here collect football cards or any other sports cards?
I do. in fact I collect all sorts of cards and sports memorabilia. I was hoping there would be some others here who did so maybe we could talk about some of the products and what not? So...does anyone collect any of this stuff?
3:15 - 2
Here's the second part. I'll only do three.2.I leave the hearse parked in an empty Tybee Island First Baptist Church parking lot on Butler Street. They’ll come looking for it soon. There’s no reason to suspect me in the theft as technically I’m still lying on a metal table in the Southeast Regional Medical Center morgue. My toe tag says so.As for home, I’ve only been dead since last night. The police will try to locate a next of kin somewhere and finding none other than an ex-wife who would just as soon not hear anything more about my misadventures, and who might actually find some solace in my demise – I’ve certainly given her plenty enough reason over the years to want to dance on my grave – they will commit those earthly remains they believe to be mine to a pauper’s grave.I suddenly feel sorry for Mr. Phelps, being the object of my ex-wife’s affections and having to spend eternity resting beneath a headstone bearing my name. The police will come soon, if they haven’t tried my address already.Finding it deserted it will be awhile before they come back. That still gives me time to get home, find a change of clothes, and clear out some...
Another Twist...lol!
O.J. Accuser Arrested Sports memorabilia dealer jailed in Las Vegas for probation violationSEPTEMBER 19--One of the sports memorabilia dealers who O.J. Simpson and his cohorts allegedly robbed at gunpoint was arrested today for a probation violation. While details of Alfred Beardsley's violation have not been disclosed, the California warrant may be connected to a 2004 felony stalking conviction in Riverside County. Below you'll find a pair of mug shots taken following the 45-year-old Beardsley's arrest in that matter. The picture on the left is from the Riverside County Sheriff's Office and the one on the right is courtesy of the California Department of Corrections. State records indicate that Beardsley was sentenced to two years in prison in the stalking case. He'll presumably be posing soon for another mug shot, this time in Las Vegas, where he was booked into the Clark County Detention Center.
OJ Simpson in trouble again
It is my understanding the book that he actually helped right is set to come out any day now and is set to be a top seller. Now he wont get any of the proceeds since the goldmans took him to court and won a court order to recieve all the proceeds to help settle the financial judgement they have against simpson. Buy apparently yesterday he was in vegas for a wedding, and there was a auction that was to take place on some of his sports memorabilia. He knew weeks in advance this auction was going to take place, and is being reported that him and some of his goons robbed the items at gunpoint. Now this hasnt been proven and i am not even sure he has been arrested, but he has been named a suspect and is being questioned by police
decorating your walls?
Do you decorate your walls where you live? When we moved into our current place, there were already paintings up on the wall from the landlord, so we just left them up. I do want to eventually have a home with an office, cause I plan to have sports memorabilia and movie posters all over it. When I was in college, I had all sorts of posters on my wall...What about you? Do you do anything special in decorating your walls in your home?
Judge orders O.J. Simpson to stop spending money
Do you think this is fair? Will O.J. obey? How will anyone know if he is spendning money or not??LOS ANGELES - A state judge has ordered O.J. Simpson to stop spending money he received for his unpublished book, "If I Did It," about the slayings of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ron Goldman. Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Gerald Rosenberg's ruling on Wednesday extended a restraining order issued last month barring Simpson from spending any earnings from past deals, including books, films and sports memorabilia. The order, which was sought by Goldman's father, initially did not apply to the advance Simpson received from the book-and-TV deal for "If I Did It" because Fred Goldman had filed a federal lawsuit over the funds. However, the federal lawsuit was dismissed Jan. 24 by a judge in Los Angeles who said he had no jurisdiction over Simpson, who lives in Florida. The ruling is the latest in a decade-long battle following a 1997 civil judgment against Simpson that held him liable for the deaths of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman. Fred Goldman alleges Simpson is trying to avoid paying the $33.5 million judgment, which has ballooned to about $40...
